Happy Baby, Jason & Sarah!

We helped honor Jason and Sarah at a baby shower/party last weekend at Amy and Stevie's house. It was really fun **but really HOT** and everyone seemed to have a great time! Jason and Sarah got some great gifts for baby Ryan! They should be all set for his arrival in early August. Those two are going to make great parents and we are so excited for them!!

Here's Jason w/ his "Daddy diaper bag"...

Jackson had a hard time not opening all the gifts for them. They didn't seem to mind their handy helper -- they had better get used to one of those, right?!? :-)
A party just isn't complete without a few games! We had a game table set up with a Guess the Date/Time Lottery (If you didn't get a chance to play, just send me an email and I'll make sure you are added in the pool.), Poopy Diaper and Name That Baby Food. We also played a game called, "Don't Break Your Water" where two teams raced with water balloons between their legs to get the most unbroken balloons in their team's bucket. Here are the team captains, Amy and Swaz, in action...

Bye Bye Bobo

We've reached a new milestone... Jackson has been sleeping without his Bobo for about two weeks now! He still asks for it occasionally, but we just say, "It's broken." He'll say, "OK" and that's it. I was thinking that this would be a very difficult transition and it wasn't even planned when he gave it up. I had noticed that for a couple of nights he wasn't asking for it while we were getting him ready for bed, so we just decided to lay him down without it. And to our surprise he went right to sleep... with no Bobo! It's now been over two weeks, so I'm hoping that our Bobo days are over. Well, at least until BGR arrives in September!! :-)

Happy Daddy Day

Jackson and me hung out with Pa-Jack on Friday and helped him shuck some corn. And yes, he did take a bite out of a piece. Look, the kid loves some corn on the cob -- he just didn't know it had to be cooked first!
Jackson is a natural corn shucker! He got the hang of it right away!!
Jackson gave his Daddy a Father's Day present on Saturday and of course he helped him open it. He is definitely gearing up for his birthday!!
And on Sunday, after a round of golf w/ Papa, Stevie, & JP, Jackson went swimming with Daddy. This picture shows one of Papa's big cannonball splashes! Jackson thought it was so funny!

Weekend in EI

We went down to Emerald Isle this weekend to celebrate our 5th anniversary (but also just to get down to the beach!) and we had a great time! Of course Jackson LOVED the giant sand box. He wasn't too interested in the ocean though. He would get his feet wet and did sit down in it once w/ Daddy, but for the most part, he just wanted to play in the sand and pick up shells. We captured some great pictures from the weekend...

Packed up and ready to play!

5 Years!

Today is our 5 year anniversary! I can't believe it's already been 5 years! We have so much to be thankful for...a happy, healthy (wild) little boy, two great families, our health, our jobs and our home. But most of all, we have each other! Happy Anniversary, Sean! I Love You!

Our First Squash

We harvested our first crop over the weekend -- a very yummy yellow squash. We sauteed it up Sunday night w/ a couple of zucchini from the farmer's market. Absolutely delish!
